To know who somebody is you must ask, 'Ko wai koe?'
Who are you?
Where do you flow from?
What whakapapa, what histories, memories and relationships flow within and through you?
This exhibition pairs the work of Maia Abraham and Caitlin Clarke (both sculpture students at Ilam School of Fine Arts) to consider the relationships we have to the water that surrounds us, fills us and that has given life to generations before us.
The works ask how we relate to water in ways that speak about whakapapa, bodies, spirit and memory.
Generously hosted by Cycle Trading Company and curated by Hamish Petersen. This show is a one night only pop up event not to be missed!
