After a full house and rave reviews in our October outing, Lady Poets is back as part of the next First Thursdays! Organiser and performance poet Kimberley Holmes aims to provide an open and inclusive stage for voices often unheard - emerging poets, outrageous orators, experimental word-crafters and queer quippers. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, Lady Poets promises to suprise and delight anyone with an appreciation for cunning linguists.

Close Encounters of the Poetic Kind will see some of the usual suspects and a new crop(circle) of performers to bring in the first Lady Poets event of 2015.

Come prepared for a night of poetry, prose and performance like no other.  Abandon all expectations and join some of Christchurch’s finest word smiths for an evening of rambunctious rhyme and out of this world odes - resistance is futile.
