For brilliant works on paper you can't beat Auckland-based artists Chippy and Dirk of Inky Palms fame.
Make sure you head into Embassy, 451 Colombo Street and catch up with these guys during the evening – they will be there with a mix of their latest work as well as in store painting skateboards during the event.
Chippy and Dirk have been part of First Thursdays in Auckland and their work featured in the pop up exhibition "Dirty Laundry" at the February First Thursdays Christchurch event. This time they are travelling to Sydenham along with their art, hot on the tail of opening their new creative space in Auckland (K Road area) called Inky Palms. Calling it an art making paradise and a place to make work with your hands, these guys are into having fun making art that includes risograph printed zines, stickers, prints, paintings, as well as a great variety of design and graphic based work.
The Embassy is the perfect place for Chippy and Dirk to showcase their talent to Christchurch. Holding a wide range of fantastic clothing and skate gear, for one night only the Embassy crew will provide the skateboards so these two artists can get busy and get creative!
