Originally from Austria, Jinx migrated to New Zealand in 2006 and is currently based in Christchurch after spending some years in Wellington.

Jinx is a self taught artist, working mostly with acrylics on paper, canvas and wood. Her paintings aim to reflect life through a mirror of dreams - the dimension of symbols and metaphors that disguise the wonderful and the terrible, our fears, wishes and hopes. 

For First Thursdays, Jinx will be joining her good friend and art ally, Xoe Hall in residence at Embassy.  These two badass artists will be making fresh new works on the night - transforming the shop from an economic hub to a creative one. Make sure to stop by and chat with these artists about their work and experiences!
