Jason Ware is a Christchurch based artist who graduated from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 2011. His practice is strongly process based, he works with tangible - often reclaimed - materials in collage and sculpture. Ware's work often sees traces of the activity of making left behind, adding texture and narrative to the work.
"My work is informed by physical and metaphysical concerns and I attempt to entice the viewer to envisage ‘extrapolated space’, the imagined space beyond the real."
